Details of China’s Fertilizer Imports and Exports in October 2024.

Exports:  In October 2024, China exported a total of 2.96 million tons of various fertilizers, including:

• 3,000 tons of urea 

• 1.75 million tons of ammonium sulfate

• 460,000 tons of diammonium phosphate (DAP)

• 90,000 tons of monoammonium phosphate (MAP)
  

From January to October 2024, China exported a total of 25.9 million tons of various fertilizers, a year-on-year increase of 0.6%. The total export value was USD $7.022 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 13 %.

Specific Fertilizer Exports for January to October 2024:

• Urea: 257,000 tons, down 92.4% year-on-year

• Ammonium Sulfate: 13.51 million tons, up 19.5% year-on-year

• Diammonium Phosphate (DAP): 3.75 million tons, down 7.4% year-on-year

• Monoammonium Phosphate (MAP): 1.66 million tons, down 2% year-on-year
  

Imports:  In October 2024, China imported a total of 1.1 million tons of various fertilizers, including:

• 960,000 tons of potassium chloride (KCl)

• 120,000 tons of NPK compound fertilizer 
  

From January to October 2024, China imported a total of:

• Potassium Chloride (KCl): 10.2 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 11.5%.

• NPK Compound Fertilizer: 1.05 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.8%.
