Russia Extends Fertilizer Export Quota Until The End of November, 2024

On April 28th, local time, the Russian government website announced a decision to extend the quota system for fertilizer exports. The current round of fertilizer export quotas is valid from June 1st to November 30th, 2024. The total export quota exceeds 19.7 million tons, with nitrogen fertilizer exceeding 12.4 million tons and compound fertilizer around 7.3 million tons.

Previously, the quota system for fertilizer exports implemented by the Russian government was valid until May 31st, 2024, with a total quota of 16.9 million tons.

The Russian government emphasizes that the implementation of the fertilizer export quota system aims to ensure an adequate supply of fertilizers in the Russian domestic market and to ensure national food security.
