Price changes in the international market for ammonium sulfate

Market activity in the Baltic region remained subdued this week, with European suppliers intending to price down to 250-290 EUR/mt cfr, equivalent to 263- 305 USD/mt fob

Standard grade ammonium sulfate in Southern Europe was offered at 330 EUR/t cfr, while net offers in Northwest Europe were below 300 EUR/t fob. Granular ammonium sulfate is quoted at 375-380 euros/mt fob.

Turkey's ammonium sulfate imports in November 2022 totaled 139,000 tons, up 53% year-on-year. China is the main exporter of ammonium sulfate to Turkey. Likewise, imports from Belgium rose 62% YoY to 100,300 tons.

Chinese standard ammonium sulfate prices showed a range of 170-182 USD /mt FOB China this week, down slightly from the last assessed price two weeks ago. China FOB prices for granular products were 215-220 USD /mt this week, down sharply from last week due to low demand and lower raw material costs.

Standard ammonium sulfate prices have declined since Oct. 27, 2022, with Argus recently assessing prices at $200-210/mt cfr Southeast Asia.
